President, NDIA Michigan Chapter
Don Kotchman joined the NDIA Michigan Chapter Board of Directors as an Advisor in 2003, and became a Director in 2005. He served as Chair for the ROTC Awards Banquet for the past three years and was chair of the Chapter Finance Committee. He also serves on several of the planning committees for the NDIA Michigan Chapter functions. Mr. Kotchman is the Senior Director, Technology Programs for General Dynamics Land Systems. He is responsible for the activities associated with development of advanced technology integration and capture of advanced systems programs. He has been with GDLS since 2006, starting as the Director for Program Planning and Control, moving on to be the Deputy for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle and then the Senior Director for Abrams, Derivatives and Specialty Wheeled Vehicles, to include international programs, MRAP, and Light Armored Vehicles. Prior to joining GDLS, Don spent 27 years on Active Duty with the Army, 15 of which were in Army Acquisition, culminating as the Deputy PEO for Ground Combat Systems. He has held his current position since August of 2009. Mr. Kotchman spends his free time as a Scoutmaster for a local Scout Troop and as an Assistant Coach for a local High School Football Team. He is married to Anne Kotchman and has a daughter Sarah, and two sons, Paul and Thomas. He has three grandchildren.
