FROM THE MICHIGAN CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Dear NDIA Friends and Colleagues:
The NDIA Michigan Chapter member companies are developing and implementing the innovative products and technology solutions for America's military today and tomorrow.
Since August 2007, we have had a number of significant achievements. These include working with TACOM and TARDEC leadership in hosting the second annual Robotics Conference, a highly successful Power and Energy conference and the Fall Business Symposiums for small businesses.
Today the Michigan Chapter boasts 1,960 individual and 56 corporate members. The chapter has earned model chapter status since 2004 and is expanding the relationship with Automation Alley.
As we move forward, we also note that we have given back to the Michigan defense community by participating in the TACOM Organization Day, hosting the Michigan ROTC Awards Banquet, TACOM's Special Kids Day, supporting the Navy League, the Junior Science and Humanities Foundation, Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition, and the TACOM ROTC Day. In addition to our highly successful Annual Dinner Meeting, we are particularly proud to have supported the Michigan National Guard Fund for guardsmen's families serving in combat. We assist in the sponsorship of the Technology Education Mentoring Program, and the Science Olympiad. In the near future we plan to announce a major Michigan Armed Services Personnel program, designed to support our own Michigan heroes.
With you, NDIA Michigan does all this because we are America's leading defense industry association focused on National Security Through Industrial Preparedness…all to support our war fighters.
