STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM (SIP)

Student Trainee (Engineering & Architecture) Intern Positions are now OPEN on USA Jobs, closes 10 JAN 2024

The Student Intern Program (SIP) offers post-secondary students 12 weeks of full-time employment, up to 480 hours, during the summer months. Employment dates will vary depending on when summer break begins for each college, however, the earliest start date is the end of May.

Actual length of employment is contingent upon budget and workload. Employment is intended to continue each subsequent year during the summer months while the student is enrolled in a degree program. Candidates MAY be non-competitively converted to a career/career-conditional appointment within 120 days of successful completion of academic program. Pay will vary by grade level and geographic location but based on a GS-03/04 position.

The X-Force Fellowship is a full-time, paid opportunity for student technologists and entrepreneurs to serve their country by solving real-world national security problems in collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD). Running from June 3, 2024 to Aug. 9, 2024, the program matches students with DoD project sponsors to deliver a fresh perspective on national security problems by providing rapid, early-stage technical prototypes or policy solutions. Student Applications are due by January 31, 2024
